I think that Benedict is just too pooped to Pope.
Loved it when Senator McCaskil called out Senators Cruz and Inoufe on their effort to undermine Hagel by claiming because Iran has said they support the Hagel nomination that somehow Hagel is "cozy" with Iran. McCaskill really took them down and McCain kind of stepped up to the plate and said Hagel's integrity should not be attacked even though he did just that during the hearing

Would it not be better for the US and other nuclear powers to establish a safety policy over the current policy. In which the US goes in and oversees the up and coming nuclear armed countries. This would secure the intelligence of other countries nuclear capabilities, help to prevent a future disaster, and to help spawn good relations. I am in no way saying the US should help those countries, but to only make sure they safe.
As Diane just said "as we talk about Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Syria"and do not talk about Israel and the ever expanding illegal settlements. The Rehm show has some road blocks of their own on the I/P issue.

Iran never said any such thing. Yet Diane allows it to be repeated
Notice how 2 1/2 of the panelists rushed to cover corporate ass after the caller's question about CAFTA. Talk about a giant sucking sound, this ain't about champagne and car parts. It is truly about Frankenfood as Matt Frei allowed and it is about all the environmental, human rights and labor protections the nations of Europe and even we enjoy.
This type of a non-response or apologetic drivel is maybe the ultimate purpose of DRShow. (CIA and NSA outlet) It lulls the public to sleep and makes them think informed commentators calling and writing in are conspiracy theorists. I expect actual conspiracy is at work. Notice how immediately and conveniently the "maker of a small medical device exported to the European Union" came out of the woodwork. Are we supposed to believe this lobbyist "caller" was already on the line, or was boosted miraculously through the que? I can't remain open-minded about a show with a hidden anticipatory agenda when it pretends to be casual and open discourse. I wonder what a DRShow on CAFTA would be like. Maybe 3 corporate tools versus a luke warm activist? Diane would probably do a station visit to keep her shoes clean while Tom Gjelten played ringmaster in the elephant dung.

A person like that would have had to be screened and investigated and trained extensively themselves to work with the host, panel and director in steering the editorial line. When you criticize this phone operator you are not privy to his/her orders and what it takes to accomplish their pro-corporate mission and misinform and mislead listeners. We always worry that the National Security State is monitoring us but they have a larger role. They also feed us pablum and ghost stories. Every little banal retainer plays their crucial role. That's why the less than 1% still needs their body servants and house slaves (approx. top 15% socioeconomic crust). You expectations of DRShow are too stringent and pure. Learn to read between the lines like a Soviet Russian. Also, I appreciate your efforts but how long will they allow you to keep complaining about how they excuse Israel's every crime and unreasonable demand?

Don't know about that, but not too long ago, Diane got uncharacteristically pissed because after a caller's comment was cleared, the caller asked about a different subject.
Not recognizing that as the caller waits, he/she may hear something that she/he deems more important than his/her original point.
I agree entirely with you about the disgraceful Jew misquotes of the Iranians, but today's quote was somewhat more measured than the usual outright lies.

Your analysts' insistence that North Korea is threatening the world, and in particular the United States, with nuclear devastation because they are really just crying for help is truly one of the most superficial analysis of the DPRK and their motives I have ever heard. I can't believe these people get paid to give us this kind of drivel. Please have an intelligent expert on the region like Brian Reynold Myers onto your show so you don't continue to look so apathetic over the development of one of the most dangerous moments in history.
