US denial of Palestinian personhood once again is totally unjustifiable. Just look at that Gen Assembly vote if you still question Palestinian right to life. How is it my country that purports to uphold its democratic ideal worldwide
insists on such singular stance of tyrant? Only Israel itself is a worse war-monger/occupier!

As Palestinian Authority President Abbas stated at the UN General Assembly yesterday "this is the last chance for a two state solution" As the two state solution doors close as a direct consequence of the continued theft of Palestinian lands in the occupied West Bank and E Jerusalem I believe the situation is headed towards the only solution at this point ONE STATE ONE VOTE.
Pink Floyd's Roger Waters spoke at the General Assembly vote yesterday He said "sIeze the moment" Do you think Israel will at anytime choose to stop building illegal settlements?

The panel talks about the "empty gesture" at the UN. Don't your guest(s) realize that the Palestintians have been so neutered and abused by Israel that any supportive gesture is welcome. Obviously not from the US, israel's all purpose backer. Same for complaining about the smuggling tunnels.

What about a little balanced attention to Israel's stranglehold on the Palestinians and -- as I just hear -- continued settlement building. I suppose the US administration will turn a blind eye, or even condone it as payback for the UN vote.

Without commenting on whether U.S. policy is right or wrong, ascribing negative intentions to the Russians is just not helpful. Each "actor" in this particular drama has its own interests and its own agenda. No party in this including the U.S. is interested in the welfare of the Syrian people or Syria as an entity. The general interest of the U.S. and it's Saudi/Israeli allies is to dismember Syria in order to make it a much weaker player in the region and continue the Shia/Sunni conflict. This follows the pattern of Britain's conquest of the Indian sub-continent--divide and conquer.

It annoys me that the commentators keep thinking this is some kind of war of liberation--it is not and have never been--it is a civil war. The Russians have reasons other than just wanting to keep authoritarian regimes in power--this is nonsense and propaganda. The Russians are playing the same power game they've been playing since Peter the Great and the U.S. is playing the same game as the British since that same era.

I think the vote in the UN is long overdue. Why do we ask the Palestinians to abide by a resolution when Israel itself will not abide by resolutions issued by that same body. The US continues to support a country which has numerous human rights violations that are overlooked by our government and carried out again not just Arabs but many of its own citizens that are not Jewish. Americans should be told of the entire situation within Israel before we commit any more military or economic aid to Israel.

The quality of commentary and analysis on today's show was very disappointing. Sounded like the panelists were too interested in sharing their own opinions and observations rather than providing any informed analysis. What is happening to the show??? Please change your panelists, Diane! Please invite someone from the BBC and Al-Jazeera every time. Their understanding and analysis of the issues is in a different league.

I recently listened to your show regarding the conditions of workers providing cheap products for western markets. While I am sorry to hear that hundreds of people are killed by the harsh and dangerous working conditions in these countries it is not the fault of America, or the fault of American companies.
I am so sick of hearing people blame us for the problems of the world. The people in these countries need to stickup for themselves. Until they quit acting like victims they will not stop being victims.
This country in the not so distant past had work houses, mines that killed thousands, etc... and it wasn't until the workers demanded safer conditions for themselves that it improved.
Your panelists and yourself never mentioned, other than in passing, any responsibility of the host country or manufacturer for the conditions. It was the demonization of America and what we were NOT doing to correct it.
