A judge declared a mistrial on five counts in former Sen. John Edwards' corruption case. National Journal congressional correspondent Major Garrett called the jury "nothing if not diligent." He said it's likely the government will accept the outcome and not try Edwards in court again. Fox News political analyst Juan Williams said Edwards was supposed to be the future John F. Kennedy of the Democratic Party, but now "is so laden with baggage."

Argument from ignorance, also known as argumentum ad ignorantiam or "appeal to ignorance" (where "ignorance" stands for: "lack of evidence to the contrary"), is a fallacy in informal logic. It asserts that a proposition is true because it has not yet been proven false, it is "generally accepted" (or vice versa). This represents a type of false dichotomy in that it excludes a third option, which is that there is insufficient investigation and therefore insufficient information to prove the proposition satisfactorily to be either true or false. Nor does it allow the admission that the choices may in fact not be two (true or false), but may be as many as four, (1) true, (2) false, (3) unknown between true or false, and (4) being unknowable (among the first three).[1] In debates, appeals to ignorance are sometimes used to shift the burden of proof.

Thanks for finally understanding what I have been saying. Nowhere have I asserted that Scott Walker was responsible for the jobs nor have I asserted that Obama is responsible for the jobs. I just pointed out that the stats that you have cited that supports nor denies either claim, AKA insufficient information is available. All we know is jobs have been created, who's responsible for them is not established with this data set.

Mike Sergeant, too bad it has nothing to do with the original argument about the made up commentary on Scott Walker's record. Obama would kill to have S.W's record. The above "Argument from ignorance" is a commentary on the absurdity of your always shifting always losing arguments.

Is there a single direction toward which all change in the USA is going (media, the relation between executive & other branches of government, bet Federal & State government, etc.)?
If America becomes a plutocracy, what would it look like?

Based on what?! Entities that have money at risk (read: investors) must have ALL the say. When government gets a say in how companies compensate or deal with their employees, you have slipped into fascism.
"The question is how to bring this idea into mainstream thinking"
I don't know. Why don't we ask Joseph Stalin.
Unbelievable.

Marcus Tillius, I was busy addressing a real issue before now I have time for a phony one. I know R.P. voted against a new law on sex selection abortions, I have not read or heard why. I can assume from the superior vantage point of libertarianism that he like I think it's dumb political theater, a worthless piece of legislation. Like loud mouths go into planned parenthood everyday or ever announcing that gender selection is the reason for their desired abortion, I just don't believe that is happening. I think the entire issue is a non issue and will accomplish nothing (well it might get the base fired up). I would vote against it too out of principle. I will say this, this is the same B.S. the dem's pull all the time and I'm afraid it is necessary for the right to do the same, it is sickening to know we have to play these games. Look at the nonsense I had to go through just to show the true record of Scott Walker, the left just says anything no matter how wrong or ridiculous to make a point, I just do not see this at the same level on the right, thank goodness.

Yes you do, thanks again for the kind words. My original name is mentioned in the comments, the identity changes are not by choice.

Diane, I know you worship Barack, but he's allowing the wonton execution by fiat by drone, more so than any other member of our species. And oh, yea, his domestic economic 'solutions' are failing us miserably. We know you so desperately want to ignore today's unemployment news because it makes your idol look bad, but it's truly bad. Please just admit your show is biased. Have a little integrity, could you?

Patsy, your Fox News post didn't sound quite right to me so I researched them for you.

NO MENTION ON FOX NEWS.
Oops, Patsy ... that's false.
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/07/01/gov-kasich-signs-sweeping-ohi...

In the United States, our largest employer, home of the 'Iconic Greeter",has laid off those 'Greeters'. This selfish, greedy family,is very public in it`s funding of Republicans. A "Job Creator",who begs and begs for more tax breaks. They are getting the tax breaks,so where are the jobs? "JOB CREATORS",not hardly.
NO MENTION ANYWHERE,NEVER ON FOX.
That's because it's a non-story, Patsy. Walmart laid off SOME of the greeters on the NIGHT shift. That's it. So your premise is false.

George W.Bush convicted of 'War Crimes' in absentia.
NO MENTION ON FOX NEWS."
Or NBC ... or CBS ... or ABC.
That's because it's also a wacko non-story ... but you might find it in the Kuala Lumpur Gazette! Since that's where the trial took place.

Hey Patsy. Why don't you find some REAL news and see who carries it.

Claimed lesbian that lives off a trust. I find her quite vicious and several times begged to have me to be banned. If she can be judged by her posts I would say an angry liberal who is more than willing to silence opposition at any cost. I mean that in a good way? People that flag as offensive or think banning is a reasonable option are a real problem.
