We need to return to an age of civility, emulating the sense of respect and homage displayed by the media towards President Bush.
Nadan: This is still one of the most ballanced shows in the US. Diane cannot spend the whole show correcting or chastizing a guest. Back off.
Also, please stop mass posting and promoting your site. It is unprofessional.
I suppose if the true nature of Obama's proposal as only a political document was honestly addressed we would have had dead air for about 45 minutes, so a charade of sincerity was needed to put some life in the discussion.. Vague is what I came away with in the conclusion of the discussion on the Obama proposal.
Great show Diane, as always. My 2 cents worth is this:Corporations hold NO allegiance to any country, but rather to the bottom line and stock holders. They have NO allegiances to the workers, their families, and the communities where they reside. Until tax reforms and laws already in the tax code are enforced with a bent toward good corporate citizenship, the corporate lawyers and C.P.A.s' will play "shell games" with their profits, tax abatements and C.E.O.s' compensation packages. Unfortunately the American working class, "our" government, and "our" local services suffer due to Corporate and personnel greed. For example; the American people will never get allegiance from Corporations' as long as there is bigger tax exemptions/or incentives to move over seas rather that keep their operations here in U.S.A.
Thus if Corporations' continue to have the same personal rights in court as citizens, without a pledge of allegiances, the American people lose.
I am happy to see that others have already written about the disrespect shown to the President in todays show. When did President Obama become Mr. Obama? How insulting! Whether a fan of the President or not - its always President Bush, or even the second President Bush, President Kennedy etc. I have never heard Mr. Nixon, Mr. Reagan, Mr. Clinton.
I think it would be a good idea to at least match what our international competitors do for their manufacturers. Remember, we have become a great power due to our manufacturing. Look at the United Kingdom to see what happens to a country which loses its' manufacturing prowess. Also, we need to recall that hidden within all of this is the drain on economic productivity when all of these bright minds are turned to gaming the system, which is encouraged currently, rather than toward improving products and services.
yea..like faux news kissing bushs' derriere as he plunged "OUR" country into the worst economic crises since the "Great Depression" ? Why sure you bet cha' I'm ready for civility like that!!

People tend to hear what they want to hear and vague is... as vague does!!!
The whole world knows this for what it is. People who lie constantly, accuse others of lliei
ng. Cheaters always think everyone else is cheating. They is racist, and the whole world knows it. We are just lucky they aren't calling him boy. Of course, The Newt is always offended, is always accusing other of his specialty. I think the man is un-redeemable. He will get our soldiers and marines killed from his careless, irreverent remarks. He is not a diplomat, and he doesn't need to be. He can see his next estate from his present estate. Tuscany, anyone. Any papal villas vacant. He want to be First Colonist in Chief and Callista will be his Caligulata in Red.
I find Mr. Morici's manner and hard partisan bent ill-befitting a (former) chief economist for the ITC (supposed to be an independent, non-partisan federal agency) and a non-biased show.
JSawyer:
Appreciate the info.
After reviewing the comments concerning the lack of respect shown our president by one of the guests and having less class then the rest of you, I have no trouble saying:
I believe Mr Bush (W) was the worst Prez, bar none, in American history.
