Occupy Wall Street did not get a mention in this year-end "round-up" discussion of significant events. (OWS not international? I beg to differ -- in Europe anti-corporate sentiments were echoed and a significant dissent movement set into motion.) OWS could be argued to be home-grown so these "journalists" could be said to be UNpatriotic in ignoring this important development.
But the likes of David Sanger are champions of the 1%, are they not? It doesn't matter that they only see things through the eyes of Washington power elites -- they get it wrong most of the time -- but no matter -- here they are, year after year pontificating in front of Diane Rehm's microphone.
Something new in 2012 would be Diane Rehm having a real political discussion rather than a cheer-leading session for US power elites and "US Interests" (WHAT "interests", WHOSE interests are we talking about here, exactly? They never elaborate, do they?)
