I beg to disagree -- Jon Stewart did NOT make fun of President Obama. Jon gently teased him into making a strong defense of his policies, and Obama came through with flying colors. Very few Media people care about our democracy at all. Jon is a refreshing exception.

Mark from NC states:

I know we're in the second hour but could you spend a moment to discuss those slamming the President because of the unemployment rate and lack of jobs.

The President has put a number of policies in place including the stumulus packages to grow the economy. Although that has been a very positive action ultimately he cannot force small business or larger companies to hire people. Like your caller from Ohio said we have to be patient, no matter how difficult it is.

Thanks for addressing this comment.

I had to turn the second hour off about half way through. The guest host and one of the panelists were saying "ahh" an average of every 5th word.

I am one of those people who used to have a difficult time speaking with "valley girls" who used the words "like" and "you know" in every other sentence ("Like, you know, Paris Hilton meets Britany Spears."), so perhaps I am less tolerant of it than others.

I understand that the people on the show are media researchers rather than public speakers, but I just couldn't deal with it. Please make an effort to limit the use of "ahhhh," and "ummmm" to a maximum of every other sentence when speaking in a public format.

@dave1
Air must be thin up there on your high horse.

Re: The "air must be thin up there on your high horse."

I am surprised and saddened to see this response. Though, it does lend understanding as to why the speech problems these men were having were not previously addressed.

@dave1
Apparently it is.
...
Listen to the content of the program rather than simply disregard it because of the host and guest speaker's public speaking abilities.
But, we can agree to disagree.
