I find the assumption that the Russian debacle in Afghanistan is a good analogy to what US is doing now to be overly simplistic. After the Afghans were successful in ejecting the Russians they were controlled by the Taliban, which was a terrible experience. From what I hear most of the people do not want the Taliban in charge which surely changes the equation.
In addition our gradual withdrawal from Iraq should also reassure the people of Afghanistan that the US doesn't really want to occupy the country. I am not naive enough to think that success in Afghanistan is a sure thing, but I can't believe the situation is comparable to the occupation by the USSR. Am I missing something here?
North Korea, KimCare has cut medical costs to $1.00 per day per patient, a pattern for the ObamaCare soon to be in a city near you?
