I actually found the debate to be far more civil than could be expected given that Bruce Fein had to stomach debating Frum, one of the despicable war criminals that pushed the US into the Iraq war.
It is absolutely absurd that anybody that seems to call into question or openly criticizes the liberal left get automatically tagged as a right wing / religious nut. Plain and simple a LARGE number of Americans do not trust or believe Obama or his administration. Some people see it for what it is. A LOT of false promises made on a highly publicized/media frenzy of a presidential champagne, and we are calling him on it and his "followers" are not able to take it. Plain and simple. Not surprising seeing as the president still to this day cannot provide a legal birth certificate.
Corporate welfare for Wall Street, corporate welfare for the medical insurance industry, more trillions for unnecessary wars and our 700 foreign military bases, pandering to Republicans, a watered down financial bill, ignoring the progressive base, spin, spin, spin . . .
To put it another way, IF the Democratic Party REALLY WAS the party OF, BY and FOR the people, it WOULD NOT be unpopular.
Obama is just a Democratic Party Loyalist who came up through the Chicago political system and loves being an insider with all those who wield power.
He's no FDR or LBJ, he's just a nice millionaire, Harvard professor who's in over his head.
Our 2-Party political system is a fiasco and will run this country into the ground.

"Our Great Lady?" I didn't know the Statue of Liberty was an NPR host. Diane "ushered" spinmeister Axelrod out? He managed to spew all his drivel without any challenges by "OGL."
Have you never wondered about how 98% of the callers and emails into NPR sound like they are the musings of tankless liberals? Calling you a progressive is a sufficient reprove.
