Please driect these comment to Mr. Nagorski:-
Sir, I have just finished reading your powerful and sobering book "Miracles on the Water". I could not put your book down. I had never heard of this incident until one of the British facebook pages I subscribe to brought up the subject. I became almost obsessed with the story and I am so pleased I discovered your book on Amazon. I was born and raised in Liverpool and was an evacuee myself, I could have been one of those unfortunate children but I was evacuated within England. Thank you very much for bringing this story to life for me. I also purchased a copy for my grandson who is in law school, he is very intrested in WW2. I plan to pass my copy onto my neighbor. I am surprised so few people have heard the story of the City of Benares....with your help I'm making an effort to "spread the word". Thank you again, you are a very special person, not unlike your great-uncle I would imagine. I left England in 1953 and have resided in the Kansas City area all of these years.
Yours sincerely,
Jeanette Land
