In 1980 an eccentric millionaire established a sperm bank whose donors were made up of scientists, inventors and thinkers. It went out of business in 1999. A journalist shares what he learned about the sperm bank’s founder, why the bank closed its doors, and what happened to the children born with help from the bank.
