Alma Powell talks about America's Promise, the nonprofit umbrella organization she co-chairs that seeks to build character and competence in young people. It was founded by her husband, Secretary of State Colin Powell. Her new book for children is also titled "America's Promise" and seeks to teach our youngest citizens about the value of community service.
