Sandra Pinkard, Managing Producer

Sandra Pinkard is the managing producer for The Diane Rehm Show and is responsible for selecting topics and booking guests for the program. She has been with the show since 1993 when it was a local Washington, D.C., show.

Susan Casey, Producer

Susan Casey Nabors began work as a producer of The Diane Rehm Show in August 2008. After leaving a 10-year career as an architectural historian to raise her two children, Nabors' love of public radio led her to investigate volunteer opportunities at WAMU in July 2007. Nabors holds a master's degree in historic preservation from the University of Georgia and a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Xavier University in Cincinnati. She currently works on generating show ideas, researching program topics, writing scripts and booking guests.

Denise Couture, Producer

Denise Couture joined The Diane Rehm Show as a producer in April 2009. Couture, a Seattle native, began her career as a newspaper reporter working in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. After a four-year stint in Japan, she moved to the other Washington (D.C.) to make documentary films and teach writing. A longtime public radio fan, she’s delighted to be a part of the “Rehm Team” and enjoys the work that goes into creating first-rate radio programming for a national audience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in journalism, both from Columbia University.

Lisa Dunn, Producer

Lisa Dunn began work as a producer of The Diane Rehm Show in 2011 after volunteering for the program for two years. Dunn holds an M.B.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University and a bachelor's degree in American Studies from George Washington University. She works on generating show ideas, writing scripts and booking guests.

Rebecca Kaufman, Producer

Rebecca Kaufman joined The Diane Rehm Show as a producer in June 2012. Rebecca began her journalism career at New Hampshire Public Radio, where she was a producer for The Exchange with Laura Knoy and an on air reporter. She went on to work in television, producing programs and documentaries that have aired on PBS/FRONTLINE, Al Jazeera English and Bloomberg TV. Rebecca holds a bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College and a master’s from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

Danielle Knight, Producer

Danielle Knight joined The Diane Rehm Show as a producer in March 2013. She is a former congressional correspondent and associate editor for U.S. News & World Report magazine. Previously, Knight freelanced for The New York Times and NPR’s Living on Earth, and covered international environmental issues for Inter Press Service newswire, reporting on assignment from Ecuador, Mexico, Russia, South Africa and Tanzania. She’s been a finalist for both an Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) award and a Gerald Loeb Award for Distinguished Business Journalism. Knight holds a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University.

Alexandra Botti, Producer

Alexandra Botti joined The Diane Rehm Show as a producer in 2014. From her career in communications she brings a love of research and writing to her role generating topics, booking guests, and crafting scripts for the program. She holds a master’s degree in sociolinguistics from Georgetown University, and a bachelor’s degree in English and French from Smith College.
